		<description><![CDATA[Yep, we do subs, and that can be a pain to collect as well! However, that&#039;s only £1.50 per week (for Cubs &amp; Scouts - think Beavers is £1) and that goes to getting the essentials for the section.
I&#039;d love to be able to collect that on a termly basis, but I think it would be even more work! Having said that I may suggest at the next Exec and see what happens. Of course the bonus is that both capitation and subs are eligible to reclaim money on gift aid - so we do!]]></description>

Do you not collect regular subs, we collect £30 per term from every scout and cub (beavers it is £25). This money is used to run the in house programme during the term (extra activites like climbing, shooting, camping are charged seperatly) and pay capatation. 
We have found that this way parent feel they are paying for the running of the scout troop and the activities and you scrap off the yearly capatation over a year without them knowing. 

We did have a problem with parent not paying up but we have now engaged one of the parents to be a debt collector and they collect all the subs and pass them to the treasurer, it is a good send as it is one less thing for us leaders to think about.]]></description>
